About Heartbeat Sound

Heartbeat Sound is a free tool that does one thing carefully: it plays a soft, realistic lub-dub heartbeat right in your browser. There is nothing to download, no account to make, and no recording loading in the background - every beat is built live with the Web Audio API while the tab is open.

Why a heartbeat, specifically

A steady heartbeat is the first sound any of us ever heard, muffled and constant through months in the womb. That is why a slow, warm pulse tends to feel familiar rather than startling - to a newborn drifting off, to an adult lying awake, even to a nervous puppy. We wanted a version of that sound you could shape to your own taste instead of a fixed clip: adjust the tempo from a sleepy 40 bpm up to 100, soften or sharpen the warmth, add a womb-like background whoosh, and set a sleep timer so it fades on its own.

Who it is for

People reach for it for different reasons. Parents use it to settle a fussy baby at low volume, well away from the crib. Light sleepers use it to mask the creaks and traffic that jolt them awake. Others keep it on while studying, working, or trying to slow a racing mind in a tense moment. Dog and cat owners use it to ease a pet's separation nerves. None of these are medical uses, and we are careful not to dress it up as one - it is a comfort and focus tool, not a sleep aid, therapy, or anything that replaces advice from a doctor or pediatrician.
